In the race to combat climate change, time is of the essence. Created through bipartisan Congressional support, the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) is investing nearly $30 billion billion in projects that are essential to achieving a clean energy economy. OCED works with private companies – including many Fortune 500 firms – to construct large-scale, next-generation demonstrations of cutting-edge nuclear, hydrogen, carbon, and renewable projects across America supported by a diverse group of bi-partisan political leaders, businesses, and local communities. OCED is at the forefront of the fight against climate change.
THE ROLE
The Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) is seeking to fill multiple positions at both the Project Officer and Project Manager levels to support the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs, one of OCED’s largest project portfolio, to create a network of clean hydrogen producers, consumers, and related infrastructure to accelerate the use of hydrogen as a viable energy source.
Both Project Officers and Project Managers will play crucial roles in driving the success of these large-scale, technologically complex clean energy projects for the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs. While both positions involve project oversight, Project Officers will assist in the hands-on execution and monitoring of projects, helping ensure compliance, tracking progress, and supporting on-the-ground activities. Project Managers will focus on high-level advisory responsibilities, guiding DOE and OCED leadership on project management strategies, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the energy transition, contributing to impactful projects shaping the future of clean energy in the U.S.
Candidates at both levels may be eligible for telework or remote work, with some travel required.
